The Bal des Quat’z’Arts, held by the Ecole des Beaux-Arts was a very famous ball. The first one took place in 1893 and the last one in 1966. To attend guests had to demonstrate their credentials: Be an artist or be known in the artist world, be in possession of an official ticket and most importantly they were expected to have created an unusual and ingenious costume and accessories to wear.

Every year a competion was held for the studens of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts to design the tickets for the Bal des Quat’z’Arts. I tried to find some of these designed tickets, as you can see some show very interesting subjects and vibes.
